GUARDIAN is an account maintenance and access control system for Unix. It enhances system security by providing login, account, and password control. Logins are monitored for invalid attempts, permitted access times, and allowed port usage. The software can limit concurrent sessions by account, login group, and access type. The package includes a user maintainable password generator, an account creation and maintenance program, and reports for monitoring accounts. An audit log is kept of all account updatesand login attempts and exceptions.
