The Dense System Library provides direct linear system solvers, linear least squares solvers, eigenvalue and singular-value problem solvers, and is engineered with high-performance Fortran numerical algorithms designed to exploit the two-level cache and parallelism of Silicon Graphics(R) architectures. The Dense System Library is substantially faster than Linpack and Eispack and is fully compatible. Typical application areas that can benefit from this highly optimized numerical software include computational fluid dynamics, structural dynamics, electronic device and circuit simulation, and computational chemistry applications.
