SMPAK(R) solves large sparse linear systems of equations by Gaussian elimination. The library routines separately handle symbolic and numeric stages of the computation. Drivers are provided for solving symmetric and nonsymmetric linear systems either with or without partial pivoting for numerical stability. There is also an option that reorders the equation and unknowns to reduce memory requirements and run time.
