The IMSL Parallel Libraries(tm) product is a serially optimized and parallelized version of the complete IMSL Libraries Fortran, mathematics, and statistics subroutine libraries. Elements of both fine-grained and coarse-grained parallelism have been designed into the product to offer superior performance and to maximize the value of the customer's investment in multiple CPU hardware.
All of the over 900 algorithms can show improved performance over the standard IMSL Libraries with the same reliability, quality, and accuracy. Compute-intensive applications using IMSL algorithms can experience linear speedup or even better results when utilizing algorithms incorporating both fine- and coarse-grained parallelism.
