AGIS is designed to create, analyze, and manage spatial data in a working environment characterized by the integration of raster and vector data as "format neutral" objects mapped to a dynamically expandable geographic reference grid. Image processing, digitizing, object-attribute modeling, and advanced auto-vectorized solutions are accessed through a detailed, English interface. Data import and export capabilities enable AGIS information sharing with other GIS, AM/FM, and Mapping packages. Applications include image processing, resource management, coastal mapping and wetland studies, land use mapping, oceanographic mapping, and habitat modeling.
