VR-Link(tm) 2.21 is a C++ application programmers' toolkit which enables networking of distributed simualtions and Virtual Reality systems across all Silicon Graphics platforms. The toolkit is compliant with the Department of Defence's Distibuted Interactive SImulation (DIS) Protocol, enabling multiple participants to interact in real-time via low bandwidth network connections. VR-Link is designed for easy integration with existing and new simulations, VR Systems and games. A stealth Observation Vehicle offered with VR-Link uses Performer to provide a view of the virtual environment. A VR-Link Vehicle- based Data Logger records and plays back DIS messages, allowing users to replay previous exercises.
