Morning Star PPP

Morning Star PPP, Point-to-Point Protocol, allows UNIX(R) workstations to communicate from one site to another using TCP/IP. The software runs on the UNIX host and can be configured as a client or server so that a remote workstation can connect to a TCP/IP local area network, or two TCP/IP LANs can be connected through PPP over regular telephone lines. The software supports async and synchronous PPP, SLIP, and on-demand dialing and packet filtering. The async PPP uses the Silicon Graphics(R) workstation's serial ports, and the synchronous PPP uses the Morning Star SnapLink(R) SCSI serial port adapter.
