Electronic, Optic, and Magnetic Modeling (EOM)

BIOSYM's EOM Project is devoted to the Electrical, Optical, and Magnetic Properties of solids. The core codes include Plane Wave and ESOCS.

Plane Wave is a first-principles plane-wave pseudopotential program. Its primary use is for accurate quantum mechanical calculations of the electronic and structural properties of 3D systems such as semiconductors and insulators.

ESOCS is a first-principles augmented spherical wave code for calculations of 3D periodic systems such as bulk magnets and metallic superlattices. It is also applicable to systems such as metals, intermetallics and non-metallic compounds with dense crystal structures.
